Prague Guide - all you need to know for your trip to Prague

Prague could be described - and not only by our Prague Guide - as one of the most beautiful and romantic cities in the world. Its historical centre covers such a large part of the city and has been so well preserved that it is like taking a step back in time. It is a city where every brick and cobblestone is permeated by history. With its elegant Baroque and Gothic architecture, its spires reaching to the heavens, its beautiful arches, towers, facades and bridges and its winding cobblestone lanes, a stroll through the city is sure to be etched on one´s memory for life.

Prague River Cruises

Prague River Cruises

Escape the throngs of tourists and take to the Vltava river on a sightseeing cruise. They are the perfect vantage point from which to admire the beauty of Prague. Make it a lunch with a difference on deck whilst lazily gazing out on sights such as Prague Castle, Charles Bridge and Vyšehrad. Or have dinner on board and see the magnificence of the Castle lit up at night while listening to some Jazz. Whatever you choose, to see Prague from the water is a memorable experience and a welcome change from pounding the streets.

Czech Republic & UNESCO sites

In order to get on the UNESCO World Heritage list, among other criteria, a historical site needs to represent a masterpiece of human creative genius and to bear a unique testimony to a cultural tradition or to a civilization which is living or which has disappeared. This is why the Czech Republic has so many UNESCO sites. With such a rich and varied history the country is dotted with beautifully preserved historical jewels that truly deserve their place on the list and to be recognised for their distinction and grandeur and, most of all, for what they can teach us about times past.
